The Big and Brutally Ugly Bill has now become law, revealing itself as a massive shell game that diverts public funds toward unrelated and destructive policy goals while weakening the core engine of American economic growth.
Tariffs imposed under the false banner of an “economic emergency” are being funneled to fund anti-immigration crackdowns and mass deportation efforts. These tariffs amount to the largest regressive tax increase in U.S. history, hitting consumers the hardest while slowing demand, raising prices, and worsening inflation—all while draining resources from productive sectors that actually generate economic growth.
The result is an exponential collapse of the U.S. economy, driven by policies that deliberately reduce population growth (essential for economic expansion) and shrink the labor force, all while imposing additional costs on every American household through higher prices on everyday goods.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is racing to construct sprawling migrant tent camps, backed by a $45 billion funding injection. ICE plans to expand detention capacity to 100,000 beds by the end of the year, creating a vast, expensive infrastructure of mass incarceration and deportation while draining funds from healthcare, education, infrastructure, and climate resilience initiatives.
In effect, the tariffs act as a hidden tax on the American people, paying for policies that actively undermine the very economic and demographic conditions needed for national stability and prosperity. While framed as “patriotic protectionism,” this is, in reality, a self-inflicted wound accelerating the decline of U.S. economic power, global leadership, and living standards.
In summary, the Big Beautiful Bill is not merely bad fiscal policy—it is an active sabotage of the future, using a shell game of fear-driven funding to accelerate the dismantling of America’s economic foundation under the guise of “making America great again.”
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released its updated score for the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (H.R. 1), revealing the harsh reality behind the rhetoric: the bill will add a staggering $3.394 trillion to the federal deficit over the next decade This makes it the largest deficit-increasing bill in U.S. history, surpassing even the most aggressive tax cut and spending packages previously enacted. The bill’s massive fiscal hole is driven by a toxic mix of regressive tax cuts disguised as “relief,” unsustainable tariffs that slow economic growth while raising consumer prices, and a debt ceiling increase that fuels unchecked borrowing without a plan for repayment.
